So, as promised I finished Alan Wake last night.  Now, I’m not going to say I hated it, but I kinda felt like it was so not worth it by the end.  The first few episodes kept me interested, but by the few last episodes you realize there are no new bad guys, no different bosses, and that your check points feel like giant repeats. For example, in the third episode I got attacked by a possessed bulldozer, and I was like “HOLY SHIT IT’S A POSSESSED BULLDOZER!” and Joe was like, ‘what the fuuuuuuck!’. But by the last episode I was like, “oh, another possessed bulldozer…” and Joe was like, “what the fuck?!”. Then the ending is this totally predictable cut scene that’s kinda confusing because you aren’t really sure what exactly happened. I think I know what happened, but I’m not entirely sure. This could be just because I’m blonde and get confused easily but seriously, if I wanted to get confused and frustrated like that I’d read a fucking Stephan King novel, because that was all Alan Wake was.  

But besides being left with a bad taste in my mouth it actually was good to play through, it was interesting and the storyline kept me engaged and the game play was challenging (probably bc I’m a noob) but all in all I enjoyed it. Well at least the first half. 

I’m not too sure what I’ll be playing next, Joe was looking to get red dead redemption so I might play that, or I was thinking of switching to the Wii, so I might pick up Mario Galaxy 2 or possibly trauma team….haven’t decided.
